Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Market Stats ("the Service"), operated by Market Stats ("we," "us," or "our"). By subscribing to or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Market Stats provides an embeddable JavaScript widget and REST API that display real estate market statistics for DFW zip codes on your website. Data is sourced from Redfin public data and updated weekly.

2. Subscription and Payment

The Service is offered as a monthly subscription at $15/month. A 30-day free trial is available for new subscribers. After the trial period, your payment method will be charged $15/month until you cancel. Billing is handled by Lemon Squeezy.

3. API Key

Upon subscribing, you will receive a unique API key. You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential. Do not share your key publicly or embed it in client-side code outside of the intended widget use. We reserve the right to revoke keys that are misused or shared improperly.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the API or data
Attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent the API key system
Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
Remove or alter any attribution required by our data provider (Redfin)

5. Data Attribution

The widget includes a "Powered by Redfin Data" attribution. You may not remove or obscure this attribution.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your API key will be deactivated at that time.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and data current, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or data accuracy. Market data is updated weekly on a best-effort basis.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Market data is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon for financial, legal, or real estate decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
